Too. Much. Fun.

Seriously. Go look at these photos. I can't help but laugh every time I see them.

Interesting.

I've been writing poetry in Fibonacci sequence designs for years.

I do it mainly in emails to boys. You know who you are.

I'm siked that there's a whole article about it here.

It's all very timely considering I'm currently reading The Golden Ratio: The Story of Phi, the World's Most Astonishing Number by Mario Livio.

Suz likes to party.

Let me catch up on what's going on for the past couple of weeks. Let's see where I left off...OK, here we go. The last Friday night of March, the 31st, I can't remember what we had planned. I think I took a nap when I got home from work, I surely needed one, but I'm can't be sure that actually happened. In lieu of going to the pub (where we really haven't been going for the past month now), Jen and I decided to just have people over our place for an impromptu dance/twister party. We called up the crew, got our Friday night pizza delivered by Mario, and by 9pm people started showing up. I went on a beer run with my bro and Mike Miller called to say that he was on his way over. He was there when I got back. We hung out for a little bit, I consumed a beer, and then we went on a drive and raced his awesome car down DPA. I don't care that I'm the biggest hypocrite about racing on DPA. It was seriously some of the most fun I've ever had. AND WE WON!! Got back to my party. Jen, her friend Mike from Tampa, Bro, Kiesha, Brodie, Mike, Carmen, Jeff. We played tons of twister and danced like lunatics, all while consuming ridiculous amounts of alcohol. It was around 2:30am when we decided to have a parade down Main Street to the Pub. We walked in and yelled a bunch. Played a quick game of darts. Did some shots. I ran into the other Mike Miller and Drew, whom I used to work with at Friday's back in the day. That was fun. Walked home and hit the hay.

Saturday morning I woke up, cleaned up a little bit, enjoyed my usual Saturday morning bagel. I showered and lounged around for a little bit, fighting a hangover with all of my might. I went and picked up Brodie and we went to see a children’s theatre production of Cinderella which was being performed at the Broadhollow theatre where Brodie performs. It was a really cute and funny version of the story, and super good for a laugh. Afterwards we went to Brodie's apt. and painted his bedroom a grayish blue. I love the color. Mike came home and we got Jen to come over and we ordered some Chinese food. We decided it would be fun to go to Dare studio and play poker with CJ, Paul, and Paul Kind. We got to the studio and started drinking. Thought it would be a good idea to do handstands on the concrete floor, but I wound up falling on my head. Ouch. Continued to get drunk while losing my $20.00. I was the 3rd one out. Not bad for not playing in months. Paul Kind taught me how to play drums for a little bit, then I pulled a little kid move and put two chairs together and curled up in a ball on them and took a nap. Now that I think of it, I hit my head pretty hard, I might have sustained a concussion, which would make napping a super bad idea. Good thing I woke up. Went home, went to bed.

Sunday is kind of blurry. It was our first planned kickball game, so I needed to go out and get prepared. I was supposed to go buy bases, but I somehow completely forgot about that. I went to Mike Miller's house and we went to Taco Bell for breakfast. Granted, it was lunch time, but how else can you justify eating Taco Bell as the first meal of the day? We then made a trip the Target where I purchased white tee-shirts. Next stop was Models (this is where I should have picked up the bases, duh) where I purchased two pairs of short shorts and a red, white and blue head band. They didn't have tube socks which was a huge bummer at the time. Back to Mike's to pick up my car, then to my parents house to pick up the Kickball. I ran home to meet up with Scott, Kiesha, Erin and Jen. We all head down to South Country School and waited a little bit for more players to show up. Mike Miller wound up bring the majority of the players, then being the MVP himself. There was actually a time when he was in the outfield, on his cell phone with his Father, when a fly ball was coming his way. He said “hold on, I have to catch the ball” (or something like that), tossed the phone to his brother who was standing nearby, and made the catch. It all happened rather quickly and was completely hilarious and astonishing to watch. All in all the game was awesome and good times were had by all. After the game a bunch of us went to the Forum, while another bunch went to Smokin’ Al’s. Afterwards, I was spent, and looking for a relaxing night. I went over to Brodie’s and watched “Frida” with him and Mike. I left as soon as the movie was over and was psyched for bed, but had to labor through an emotionally draining phone conversation first. I’ll leave it at that. It was a sad night, and I went to bed pretty bummed out.

The week was interesting. Monday night was serious conversation night. Brodie brought me some daisies, which was very charming of him. I can’t recall what I did Tuesday night. Wednesday night I did laundry at my Mother’s house. I also did my taxes while I was there, and did some food shopping with Joe. Poor Joe walked around the super market with me and listened to me go on and on about the drama in my life. I owe him one. I got home and ironed my super wrinkled clothes. Thursday night I had a surprise visit from Brodie who was on his way to his brother’s house for dinner. He met up with Jen and me later to go to the book store for some caffeine and browsing. Jen and I tried to play hide and go seek with him, but he didn’t quite understand that we were hiding on him. I bought the book “The Golden Ratio” which is about phi. I’m super excited to get into it, but haven’t really gotten a chance to yet. Kiesha came by and went to Quinn’s with Jen and me to see Jimmy spin. Mike Miller and Rich Jordan met up with us, and we hung out for a bit. I was tired and home by 11:30pm. After work on Friday I met up with Brodie to grab a slice of pizza. I came home and showered, and was planning on going up to Melissa’s house in Mt. Sinai for her birthday, but I never made it there because I got into an awful fight with Mike Miller over the phone and felt very very down after it. My Friend Ben was playing at a house party in Lindenhurst, so Jen, Brodie, and I decided to check it out. I drank Bud Light from a keg and played a little beer pong. I didn’t smoke any cigarettes. I got kind of consumed with sadness somewhere around midnight and pulled a disappearing act. Went out to my car and choked back some silly tears, and listened to a mixed CD that I wasn’t ever supposed to read into. I was found shortly after that, and it was agreed upon that we should go home. Home.

Saturday morning wake up was rough. I didn’t realize that I had gotten so drunk the night before. It was a good thing that I went to bed fairly early, because I had made plans with Jen to go up to the Smithaven mall to Bath and Body works where her sister works. They were having some sort of free gifts, promotional day. We got there around 10:30, browsed around a bit. I bought sunglasses from H & M and tube socks from Journey’s. We got home and sat around for a few minutes before picking up Mike Saganic to go to see Brodie play the Coachman and the Fox in a production of Pinocchio at the Broadhollow theatre. It was an adorable performance. Afterwards I took Mike to pick up his car in Lindenhurst at the place of the house party the night before. I had plans to go out to dinner with Brodie, so Mike and Jen decided to order Taco’s Guacamole. Brodie and I went to Kotobuki for some incredibly delicious sushi. We indulged in a green salad, Edemame, Fried Oysters, Happy Roll? (I’m not sure if that’s what it was called. It was ginormous though!!), Out of Control Roll, Alaskan Roll, and Fried banana tempura with red bean and ginger ice cream. YUM. We came back to my house and got ready for a party. We moved the furniture and had a bunch of people come over for Twister, dancing and poker. Out of 9 people, I wound up winning poker and made a total of 70 bucks. Whoop! There was a weird portion of the night when a hooker named “Shadow” showed up at our place, but I’d like to forget that ever happened. I got extremely drunk and went to bed around 4am, while the rest of the party went down to the diner.

Sunday morning was awful. I had the worst hang over on record. I had to be at my mother’s house at 3 for dinner, and I was a wreck. I left there at 4:30 b/c I had a kickball game scheduled for 5:30. Not as many people showed up this week, partly because it was freezing, and partly because Mike Miller was mad at me. Regardless, we made the best of the situation and played as best we could. Afterwards we had pizza/movie night at our place. It was me, Jen, Kiesha, Mike and Brodie, and we all watched The Royal Tenenbaums. I love Wes Anderson. All in all it was a fine weekend. I was exhausted and ready for bed after the movie, but I couldn’t sleep. I was tossing and turning, and nightmares all night. It was awful. I managed to get some rest last night, so I’m slowly beginning to refuel for next weekend. We’ll see how that goes.

Look at all of the pictures. Fun fun fun.
