Oops.

I know I said I was going to keep up, but, damn, I guess I've gotten lazy.

We'll start where I left off.

Friday: I met Brodie up in Commack for a quick nap, and other fun, was home by 6:30 and left for Rocky Point and Erins Dinner party by 7:30. Drove all the way up to Guam with Jen and we won a contest on the radio. That was fun!!! I saw a shooting star. Marvelous. The dinner party was fabulous, I love those people. We were out of there by 11 and got to the Funky Phish around 11:30. Met up with Brodie there. Danced. They covered Beast of Burden!!!!!!!! One of my all time favorite songs!! Brodie and I bounced out of there early so that we could go spend our last night in Commack. Fun.

Saturday: Wake up, clean up, home, change, Target for a gift, then to my Aunt's for my cousins surprise 30th B-day. Hung out for a bit, then came home, changed again, and Jen and I went to Pauls house to meet up with him, CJ, Joe, Megan, Mike, and Kevin to go to the Soulive, Medeski Martin and Wood show at the arboretum in Oyster Bay. We tailgated in the parking lot and played monkey in the middle with a football. I was always in the middle. haha. The concert was incredible. We sat on the lawn and drank and ate and knitted (at least I did). It was great. I layed out this green comforter I had in my trunk and Mike, Megan and I designated it a dance floor and realized that it was the best feeling to be on it with our bare feet. It felt sooooo nice. We were sliding around on it and dancing like silly hippies. haha. So fun. Great times with great people. We got back to Paul's house around 11:30, and pulled up exactly at the same time as Brodie. Whoop! I missed him. We made a foolish decision to play poker and were all falling asleep at the table. It was fun though. We got home around 2am.

Sunday: We slept in and had bagels when we got up. Jen, Dennis, Mike and I went to see Brodie's show, then we all went out for Sushi at Kotobuki afterwards. Then it was off to Brodie's for bed. His bed is so damn comfy.

This week:

Monday: Work, then the Diner with Brodie, Mike and Amanda who was in town for the evening. Pizza bagels are so yummy. Brodie had to work nights all week, so I went home and decided I needed to move my room around. It's definitely got the feng shui flowing now. I love it, although it's pretty tight. I have way too much furniture for my little room, but it makes me feel a lot better this way.

Tuesday: Work, Dermatologist Apt., then I went to Brodies and napped with him for a couple of hours. We woke up and had Burger King for dinner. Ew, but yum at the same time. He went to work and I went home and organized an 85 E. main movie night. Ivan and Zofi came by and we were all in our PJ's and watched "Shopgirl". Great flick. Funny and serious, and wonderfully written. Loved it.

Wednesday: Work, then Brodie took me out to dinner at Captain Bills. I had the Bass. It was out of this world. He's so cute. It was such a lovely dinner. I went home and met up with Jen, Nancy and KT, and we all went to see his show. It was my third time. I went by his place and we cuddled for a bit before he went to work. I hate when he works nights. Boooo.

Thursday: Work, then I went home and sat on the couch for 2 hours. I wasn't feeling well. Brodie came by with burritos, and he carried me to bed after I passed out on the couch. I got up and went to play poker at 9. I lost by 11:30, stopped by the Half Penny on my way home and chatted with Johnny for a bit. I was wired, so I wrote a letter to Jimmy and talked to Brodie a few times on the phone until I fell asleep. I'm so glad that it was his last night working nights.

So. That brings me up to today.

This weekend should be fun. Tonight I am going to Brodie's show again, then we're planning on just being together. Should be great, I'm looking forward to spend some alone time with him.

Tomorrow night we're having a PARTY!! It's gonna be nuts. I can't wait. I'll write all about it.

Tonight:

- I need to trim my hair. It's a dire situation.
- Up to Rocky Point/Mt. Sinai/somewhere up there in the boondocks to Erin's annual Dinner Party Bash. (I've taken it upon myself to call it "annual" because she had one at the same time last year, and I'm hoping she'll have one every year for the rest of my life because DAMN! that girl can cook.)
- Then, to Da Funky Phish in Bay Shore to see My Friend Ben.

I'm planning on sleeping very little tonight, and rising early to face my crazy Saturday...

- 12:30 surprise pool-side party for my cousins 30th birthday.
- This is still up in the air, but I might leave early to attend another party for Brodie's friend.
- 6:30 Soulive and Medeski, Martin, and Wood at Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay.

Sunday.

- 2:30 Go see Brodie perform in Carousel at the Airport Playhouse in Bohemia.

I'm tired just thinking about it, but it's going to be a gorgeous weekend surrounded by friends and family, I mean, really, who has it better than me?

Start.

I'm going to start blogging again. There's just way too much fun stuff happening in my life right now to not have a written record of it. I went back to last year around this time and read my posts and remembered everything I was writing about. I like the feeling of remembering something that I might have otherwise put into storage memory and never went back to re-live. Let's starte with some basic categories:

Age: 25 (a little over a month left of being part of the quarter century club, it's been real)

Location: Bay Shore, NY. I live with Jen in our two bedroom apartment on Main Street. It's a fab apartment and I absolutely love it.

Job: Still running the office for this contracting company. It's a lot of work, but I'm pretty efficient in getting it all done in a small amount of time, I think my computer knowledge is key. Decent pay, regular hours, regular paycheck. Not where I want to be for the rest of my life, but it's good for now to pay the bills and help me along until I'm ready to go back to school.

Health: I feel pretty good, aside from this recent allergy that's been attacking my eyes. I really should start doing some sort of exercise though. I'm the same weight as I was last summer, which is surprising b/c I thought I would have gained it back. (Feb. '05, I weighed 140, and August 'o5, I was down to 115, without doing any type of working out or anything. My weight gain was due to my depression and unhappiness in my relationship with David. I'm so glad I realized that before we got married. It would have been miserable.) I feel great.

Relationship: I am, head over heals, in love with Brodie. I never, ever, ever, thought I could love someone as much as I love him. He is perfect. We never fight, which is mainly due to our amazing communication abilities. If something bothers us, we talk it out. It's wonderful. I've never been in a situation where the significant other didn't just blow up in anger. It's so healthy and equal. I feel so lucky. I will love him for the rest of my life. He makes me feel alive. I feed on his energy, and he on mine. We give each other freedom, and cherish every second together. It's a utopian love affair. Absolutely perfect.

Happiness: I am the happiest I've ever been in my entire life. This past year has been the best year of my life. I feel like I finally learned how to live; how to have fun without holding anything back. I've met the most amazing people, and gone on the most amazing adventures. I never decline when asked to do something fun, and I realize that I can sleep when I'm dead. I live in the moment and refuse to let anything pass me by. I look forward to the future, but take things day by day. I smile often, and appreciate life more than anyone I know. I feel so lucky for everything I am surrounded by. I couldn't ask for anything more.

I want.

I want to go to Antarctica, or on a cruise, anywhere, I want to go sky diving near Machu Pichu, and go swimming off the coast of the Galapagos Islands. I want to hanglide off of a mountain in the Cascade range, and hug a Redwood, again. I want to go to Wyoming and see Megan, go horseback riding. I want to get in the car, tonight, and drive north, and see where I end up. When I get tired, I'll pull over, hop into my passenger seat, and take a power nap. It's comfortable. I want to meet friendly strangers and hear them tell me a tale about their lives. I want to sleep under the stars with the sounds of coyotes cackling in the distance. I want to be forced to store my PB & J in a bear locker. I want to dance in the middle of a rolling wheat field under a full moons light. I want to sit off of a cliff in Maine and watch for whales. I want to swim with sharks and hug a giraffe. I want to shout from my rooftop, as the church bells strike midnight. I want...

Ok, so I haven't updated in a bazillion years. Here's a little taste of what's new in the land of Suz.


- It's summer. (well, it's official as of tomorrow, but the weather outside is telling me that it's already here.)
- Work is the same. Got a raise.
- Brodie is the best thing in my life right now and I am so completely appreciative of that. He's my rock and he's more than I could ever, ever, EVER ask for in a man.
- Started taking Accutane to finally treat my skin problem. I just started my second month. Things are going well so far. I have a separate journal for that which has been demanding all of my time and keeping me from here.
- We got curtains for the living room and used pool sticks that we found for $3.00 at a garage sale as curtain rods. We're crafty bitches. I'm proud.
- Went to Fire Island a couple of times. Once, Memorial day weekend, and once for my sisters bachelorette party. Good, good drunken times.
- Paul Kind taught Jen and I how to sail. We're going to start racing with him. It's hard work, but super fun and exciting.
- Jen and I have been playing twister at random places and calling it "Flash Mob Twister". We played at 2am on a Saturday night in front of the Nutty Irishman (a guido bar/club in town). The bouncers didn't know what to do with us, so they let us play for a good twenty minutes before the stupid guido's started getting a little to touchy feely and Brodie had to step in. He's so cute. We also played in front of Special Sauce during the Bay Shore Street Fair. Jeffro has been filming the whole thing. It's pretty fun to see peoples reactions.
- Geneva (Montana) is here this week visiting from South Dakota. She's super fun.
- Jen met this boy Tom. Tom stayed over Saturday night. Brodie sleep walks. Brodie sleeps naked. Brodie sleep walked into Jen's room and tried to climb into bed with the both of them. Sometimes, I wish we had surveillance cameras.
- I went to the beach this past Sunday and got really burnt. Brodie, my Dad and I went swimming, but the water was super cold and rough. I stayed out for a while, but I was getting tossed and it was exhausting. I can't wait to get back in.
- My sister's wedding is less than a month away. ACK!!! I go for my dress fitting tonight.
- Oh yeah, did I mention I bleached my hair blonde?
- The Chowder Bar in Bay Shore is my new favorite restaurant.
- I made peanut butter and chocolate chip pancakes for dinner last night. D. Lish.
- Brodie got the lead part in Carousel. I'm super proud of him. It runs all through August, come see it with me?

That's really all I got right now. I'm sure there's lots that I'm leaving out, but as I remember, I'll update. Deal?
