For School:

1. Organize notes, read and study for Counseling Midterm.
2. Media Profile.
3. Collage project - print photos
4. Read, journal, and create art for Acquainted with the Night.
5. Field interview for CAT 224.
6. Draft a release form for interview.
7. Write paper based on interview.
8. Read Harvard Mental Health Letter on disease-modifying drugs in Alzheimer's, and prepare presentation.
9. Conduct web research and summarize my findings on blackboard.

For Life in General:

1. Take Dylan to the vet.
2. Finish knitting my secret project.
3. LAUNDRY. Tons of it.
...

Update:

I somehow got AMAZING LAST MINUTE Bruce Springsteen ticket's and went to last night's sold out show at the Nassau Colesium! Although he didn't play either of my faves (Thunder Road or Rosalita) the show was completely radical. I mean, out of this world. Indescribable! Really. That good.

So. Much. Fun. Whoop! (pics will be up soon!)

This and That.

Unfortunate:

-I got out of bed late and had to apply my make-up at work.
-Super crazy busy day at work.
-A bottle of Permenamel Glass Cleaner opened in my painting bag, which was in my car. I spent my lunch break cleaning it up.
-I spent 20 minutes on the line at the bank.
-I found out that my Counseling midterm is next week!
-There were FIVE Nassau Police cars on the ramp from the Meadowbrook to Hempstead Tpk West stopping cars.

Fortunate:

-I got in some extra cuddle time with Dylan this morning. He's the best in the morning.
-The day went by pretty fast because I was so busy!
-Having to clean up the leaky cleaner forced me to clean out the rest of my car too. It will be clean for a couple of days.
-I ran into Raj at the bank. He's the owner of the 7-11 closest to my job. He's always very friendly when I go in there, but I haven't been in a while because I have my own coffee maker at work now. We were catching up (while waiting on the ridiculously long line) and we got to talking about school, and it turns out that he is in Med School at Stony Brook. I knew he had to be around my age, but I never thought that he might be in school. We had a great conversation. The things you learn.
-My Counseling prof. is THE BEST, so I'm not very worried about the midterm next week.
-As I was driving on the Meadowbrook, I decided that I would wait to get to campus to call my Mom. Good thing. Those coppers were pissed that they had nothing to pull me over for! Whoop!
-Dylan is the cutest ever.

Yin and Yang.

Today:

Some unfortunate things that happened:

-I put on two different earrings as I was running out the door for work.
-I got yellow paint on my sweatshirt.
-I got heartburn from a pizza bagel.
-Dylan pooped on the rug.
-I didn't eat any ice cream.

Some fortunate things that happened:

-I noticed I was wearing two different earrings before I walked into the office.
-The yellow paint goes quite well with the blue paint that was already on my sweatshirt.
-I ate a pizza bagel with ranch dressing from the Okonee Diner. YUM.
-Dylan gave me tons and tons of kisses because he knew he did something bad.
-There is still 1 hour and 39 minutes left in the day to find some ice cream.
-I finished painting the mural (see post below).
-I got in some "Ian time" (by dragging him to Michael's craft store with me...A few hours after he got back from Paris).
-The Project Runway season finale is on!
-I got a strawberry banana smoothie at lunch.
-I started knitting a new project (I'm making up the design as I go...We'll see how that turns out!)

I've been very creative this week.

I painted this window mural for a yoga shop that is opening in East Islip:

I knit a couple of hat's for the St. Baldrick's Charity. Knitter's Therapy was collecting the donations. Here are pics of some of the hats:

I painted this sloth in one of my grad classes. The directive was "If you were an animal, paint what you would be.":

I also made this bacon cheese burger in one of my grad classes. The directive was "Draw whatever you want." (yes, I'm still, and always will be, a vegetarian):

I made this jewelry tree out of 14 gauge wire:

And I made this group painting in one of my grad classes. The directive was "Paint your ideal environment." (yes, we have lots of fun...I did the middle part with the two trees, hammock, and tire swing):
